Time And Tango
Copyright 1989 Daniel E. Biemer
What the world needs now is a different angle Need a little more time and a little less tango Everybody's talking 'bout the passion And it seems to me that love is out of fashion I walk along the streets at night, thinking about your name Trying to clear my head out after seeing you today I swore long ago, I'd never feel this way again It's much too easy 'Cause I don't trust the passion, shun first impressions, You're not the only one And too many time's I woke up in the morning Found that the feeling's gone What the world needs now is a different angle Need a little more time and a little less tango Shouldn't let our bodies do the speaking And I try to be strong but times I find I'm weakening I wonder if you love me when you're asking me to stay I wonder if I love you I wonder if I've got the strength to simply walk away And find the honest answer Because I'm just a poor man, not very bright No background or family And I don't understand what a woman like you Could want with a guy like me What the world needs now is a different angle Need a little more time and a little less tango Oh, we always talk about the weather Take a little more time and I might like you better
